Requirements to Join

Phi Theta Kappa is an Honor Society based on academic achievement, and as such, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and completed at least 12 credits in non-remedial courses (1000 level classes or higher) at Normandale.

We accept new members at the beginning of Fall and Spring semesters. Currently, we do not induct members during the summer. At the beginning of each semester, we send a snail mail letter containing orientation times and information on how to join to all eligible students (this information is linked at the bottom of this page). This letter usually arrives within the first two weeks of the semester.
