How has PTK helped you develop your leadership skills?
"As the VP of Leadership, PTK gave me the opportunity to take on the College Project. This came with leading a team and planning and organizing the project. These responsibilities enhanced my leadership skills from numerous angles such as communication, problem-solving, and creativity."
What leadership qualities do you believe are most important?
"I find communication and adaptability to be the most important qualities in my position. From conveying my visions/goals to my team to collaborating with others, clear communication helps prevent misunderstandings and makes reaching goals easier. Additionally, being adaptive helped me navigate uncertainty, welcome new ideas, and guide my team through transitions."
What advice would you give to members looking to step into leadership roles?
"Build relationships with your team and the people around you. Getting to know the people you work closely with will make accomplishing objectives and building trust easier. Also, take the time to reflect on your practices and seek improvement regularly, whether through feedback or maintaining a balance between work and personal life."
